    Yesterday they offered HP65 ink cartridge for $9, I bought 2 and they emailed me few hours later claiming they're out of stock, yet they have them today for $22!, they could've just be honest and say they made a mistake.

    Have purchased a GPU and a PSU from Extreme PC.
    Loyalty points are a nice feature to obtain discounts for subsequent orders.
    PSU was delivered promptly. Working great. GPU I picked up, from their easily accessible store, without a hitch.
    Rated lower as I purchased an ASUS Rog Strix 1070 from their website but was later informed that the item was out of stock and was asked to purchase a different product.
    Additionally, the GPU I did purchase (Gigabyte GTX 1070ti) from them turned out to be faulty and am now going through the Warranty process with them. Seems I am to be without a GPU for about 2 weeks. This review will be updated upon results of the process.

    Have bought from ExpremePC often but not in recent years as courier to South Island is crazy over charged. Minimum $15 no matter how small.

    Merchant very responsive to feedback. Worth contacting them if you feel freight charge is too high on small items. Often some great bargains to be had.

    I'd not used ExtremePC before and I found their pricing was quite reasonable and their communications were excellent after I queried their stock levels.

    I read a previous review about fast delivery and was excited to receive my order asap. However, as I was a new customer I was required to email a screenshot of the bank transaction. This took a very long time to appear in my account and the order was delayed taking one week to arrive to me in Wellington (to be fair, one of those days was a public holiday but that's moot).

    Anyway, besides the frustrating extra step in first time ordering (new customer), I found them pretty good and very snappy in communications. I've advised them they should have a notification of the requirement of a transaction screenshot BEFORE the final order is placed, thus managing customer expectations.

    website is not always up to date. especially stock availability. I have purchased few times. I have no problem when they have the product I want in stock. but if they don't have the product I want in stock, they make different excuses, then the website still show the product was in stock even after few days, called to see if they have refilled the stock, but turned up they have failed to update the stock status. They tried to sell me a product they call "brand new but box opened", sounds a bit dodge. Overall, acceptable.

    I have recently built a gaming PC from the parts I purchased from ExtremePC. I have taken 2 months and half after building my PC in order to write a fair review on this retailer.

    I was pleasantly surprised by the staff at ExtremePC. My powersupply (brand new and sealed) that was purchased from ExtremePC was faulty upon installation, after reporting the issue they offered to test all the parts on my PC and replaced the PSU with a new one.

    later on I had multiple enquiries about my GPU. upon reporting my concerns I was offered to receive a full refund on the GPU which I declined as I had received a really good price on the GPU.

    I was given the best price compared to all retailers selling the same product at the time.

    I have no complaints regarding my dealings with ExtremePC and would recommend them to anyone.

    they do tend to have stock issues (where a product is in stock online but after ordering they call you and let you know it is actually out of stock) though but calling and confirming is an easy fix to that issue hence I did not take away any stars.

    I recently needed a ssd replaced urgently. I didn't bother phoning them first and I had looked at their website previously to choose an appropriate replacement ssd, great service and price

    Terrible have not got as far as receiving a mobile is on order. All was ok until their managing director Tony Situ emailed me and requested I take a screenshot of my online bank account with credit card details for order on it. Bank advised in no way should I do this especially on an email request. Unbelievable I would be asked to do this. I very nearly rang police and reported a scam but took time to check and he is genuine In
    credible! Forgot to mention this Director said he could not release Item ordered for delivery although was accepted by Anz credit card division until I complied with his request.

    I bought some headphones from extremepc and a pair turned up two days later. Unfortunately the headphones sent were the wrong model which has lowered my rating. This was made worse by extremepc staff not sending out the correct product on the day after I notified them, but instead waiting the weekend before sending the correct pair. The final issue that lowered my rating is that when the correct product was finally sent it was sent economy post so took two days instead of one. All in all I waited almost a week longer than I should have to receive the correct product and extremepc staff made a minimal effort to send the correct product in a timely manner, hence 5/10.

    I would consider purchasing from this store again, but only if the purchase wasn't urgent.

    Great service ! I bought a router from them n they asked me a lot question to help me to a correct route for my place which helps a lot for me to understand why I need a normal router instead of the expensive one. Honest staff ! Love to trade with them again !

    Ordered and paid for a graphics card through them, with their system they had the item in stock; get a call four hours later explaining that they actually don't have any stock and I will need to wait a month for it to be shipped by their supplier citing some overseas celebration. Took another look at their online ordering portal at the same time as the call which stipulated the item was still in stock and thusly pointed this out to them.

    Now their system says they have no stock and they've additionally hiked the price despite the item at the time of the order was not marked as being on special.. How this doesn't look like dodgy practices is anyone's guess

    Bought a Microsoft surface pro 4 ultrabook just before the new year. Thought I was buying an unused, brand new out of the box product which doesn't appear to have been the case. At some point this was taken out of the box to display/demonstrate its capabilities in the shop I'm guessing - this being due to finger prints on the screen and it wasn't even switched off when I took it out of the box. It also had a news app installed on it in an Asian language so didn't appreciate having to try and uninstall that blindly but got there eventually. Is that why this product was on special at $100 off possibly?

    That being said, product is otherwise in new condition and I'm happy with it.

    Had problems with supply of a Bluray drive but they kept me informed where it was at throughout and quick to refund once it was obvious it wasn't available from supplier. Great service.

    Extreme unhappy with Extreme PC. The website shows stock available in showroom and went to purchase, their sales told me sold final unit in the morning &cannot back order & pissed me off. Went back home check their website again, still shows stock in showroom but price increased heaps. Bought from another shop with free shipping much cheaper and received today. It takes me 1 hr from Franklin to Westspring. Very bad shopping experience.

    Bad. This is my second review, first was removed for some reason.
    As usual they did not have the stock in store even though it was advertised as being in stock and I called twice beforehand to make sure.

    This is ExtremePC opposite St Luke's mall, just so there is no confusion.

    On a side note, I recieved a private message from kelvinNZ claiming my bad feedback had been placed on the wrong store. It wasn't. However if you look down the page here you'll see kelvinNZ has placed shill positive feedback.

    Before purchasing a pc I made a few configs and send a email asking if the system is good and what not, they would send me back configs that are slower? In my opinion less MHz on ram lets say and a less powerful graphics card with better deals as I remember. So once I came down to finally purchasing they had a problem because I put shipping name to me and billing to my mother, that's not a problem for me, its just I waited a week for my pc and finally gave them a call to see where my pc is and they finally told me that information, I did not get a call about this or anything. everything after that was pretty smooth, the pc I have is very strong cost me a quite a bit $700 more then I was planning but it turned out good, The few things that are a problem with my computer atm is a few fans seem like I will need to replace them very soon, my 200mm fan on top wobbles every 5-7h of gaming and about 1-2 days of idling, not a problem restarting a computer is a good thing, the cooler fan is a little unsteady so ill see how soon I can replace that. cant see my third fan but it doesn't make any noise. The computer I made and extremepc customized for me is very quite unless your trying to watch a movie from the $60 MoDisc or what not they gave me it's worthless. after I make sure my pc is safe and the fans are steady I will replace that, it freezes, it sounds like a printer, I think it damaged my cd it looks like a dent or something, now The fans where damaged in the shipping I'm almost 100% sure because why would they sell broken pieces? I'm not sure about the cd/dvd/blueray rewriter tho, I think that thing is bad. I guess ill have to take my old one out of my pc. I did call them about replacing my fan and after a few phone calls they told me to go to the store buy it take a pic of the receipt and send it to them so they can send me the money. Reason I came to a buildmypc site is I want to plug and play, yes I know how this stuff works but I don't want the headache. In the end If you order a pc with everything but the fan's you should be solid with out a complain, a lot of shipping companies are rough with there packages, ExtremePc did good at doing there job except not telling me that my billing is wrong or is not working, didn't tell me what they changed on my config and why, realistic review if I lived in Toronto 9.5, pissed off review because I have to go to the store and replace things is 6, my review if fans were fine( OMG this pc is DOPE its basically maxing out the capability of technology around the world! cd reader sounds like a printer xD I guess I purchased a cheap cd rewriter learned my lesson. 9.9/10 should of warned me about this printer inside my comp)

    I purchased a laptop from these guys through their website. Later that day I received a call from them stating that it was sold out as of the previous day (stock was still listed as available on the site) and that the new stock would be at a higher cost due to exchange rates. After brief negotiation they agreed to honour the deal at the originally advertised price, which I appreciate.
    Shipping was fast and the owner seems to be genuinely passionate about his business.
    However once the laptop arrived I was shocked. The packaging job was just appalling. They had put the small laptop box inside a giant PC case box, with only a single piece of (broken) styrofoam and a random bit of cardboard as packing material, so the laptop was bouncing around in the box banging into the walls for the whole journey.
    Luckily for me the laptop seems to have survived.

    After I initially posted a very poor review the owner called me to apoligise, and begged me to change the score to take in to account the reasonable price and succesful outcome of the transaction. He promised to replace the item if I noticed any damage and that he would speak to the staff member responsible for packaging and make every effort to ensure that items are packaged securely in the future, so I have updated my score to reflect that. Don't make me a liar, sir.

    TL:DR probably ok to deal with if you can buy directly from the store but be wary of delivery.

    Great store with excellent prices, staff and service.

    I was hesitant at first due to ExtremePC's lack of reviews. They were the only ones selling a decent socket 1155 board at the time. I received a call from one of the ExtremePC team shortly after my order went through advising that the item was no longer stocked.

    They wound up uprading me from a $100 mobo to a $200 mobo at no extra cost.

    Then when it turned out the CPU I bought the mobo for was also faulty, they let me get a full refund on the 1155 mobo so I could buy a new 1150 mobo + i3-4130.

    I'll probably make this my go-to store now. Their prices are really good and their service is absolutely top notch.

    Their staff can be hard to understand on the phone but be patient because they're actually really friendly and helpful.

    Ordered a PC system from them.
    It had problems on arrival, but the support at Extreme pc were doing everything to help me out. In the end I had to send back for a replacement, but they were really great about it; they paid for the shipment and didn't charge labour fees. Got the replacement within a couple of days, it worked great!

    Great computer shop 10/10. Would buy from them again.

    I like those guys~ i am looking at black switch keyboard and mionix is the limited option for me in nz, luckly i find it here, the staff is quite friendly and i feel relax during the purchasing. I'm so happy that can find out such this kind of computer shop in auckland.

    Excellent communications - prompt and very helpful in confirming the exact model - a later version - I was looking for. Including emailing me photos of item and details on the box to confirm. Couldn't have asked for more that that.

My order arrived 1 day after it was placed. and the price and selection is awesome, even first time the item i chose they dont have it in stock, but they advise me immediately and gave me a really professional and excellent selection.
