4.25ghz with 1.3v on all 12 cores, which is normal in and on this CPU. Cool with fractal design S36 "360mm AIO". idle 32-36c, stress test 78 degrees.

A perfect CPU for me as a live stream and edit some videos. Then cpun handle all coding without problems with its 12 cores and 24 threads.

If you just play games, I'd rather recommend Intel with higher clock and fewer cores for it = 9700k

Have had this CPU since the beginning of August now (so 2 months), and I must say that I am very pleased. I bought a whole new computer, all in parts. The motherboard became one https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450-GAMING-PRO-CARBON-AC. The motherboard is intended for the second-generation Ryzen CPUs, but supports this (3rd) generation if you flash the BIOS. Was a little worried that this would be a hassle, but I followed MSI's own guide on how to do this (WITHOUT having another Ryzen CPU - ie without having a CPU mounted on the motherboard at all), and it went on the first try.

The CPU is fast. I can't say that I use it to the full yet, but it will last for a long time, and will probably be pressed a little when you start to spin up some virtual machines eventually.

I drive with a stock cooler. Thought I would test it a week ago then buy 3rd party cooler if it does not work, but it seems to be good enough for eg Battlefield 5 (ultra settings, 5120x1440p and an RTX 2080). The temperature has been measured to the absolute maximum of 82 degrees, I think, but usually lower. Quiet, it is included in a Fractal Design Define R6 Tempered Glass.

That said, don't know if I really need this brutal CPU. But it feels nice when I have a large screen (like 5120x1440) to be able to have a lot of boxes / applications and multitask effectively.

The only negative is probably the price, but for that I do not intend to pull a star. The CPU is not for those who just want to surf or play games.

    Very satisfied!

It is wonderful to not have to change the motherboard and just be able to pop it in my existing one. Performance is enough and will be over and your computer will feel fast and responsive when used. Also a plus that my memories that with Ryzen 2000 only lasted 3466 CL14 now fix 3800CL16 gallantly (they are special for 3600 CL16). So AMD has really done a good job with the memory controller.

As for games, the 9900K snap is sharper today but the trend is constantly towards more cores being used, so I think the 3900X will run about 9900K even in game time enough, as 1800X in many cases jumped about 7700K in games. But of course it will vary with game title. If you play CS then 3900X is sharper, thanks to larger cache. Yes, it is ridiculous that they call it "game cache" when it is really about larger L2 and L3 cache, but it is never the same what it is called as long as it increases performance I think.

The boost, which was a bit tricky for some initially, is now fixed and works as it should, so no deductions there.

PBO and Auto OC can still be improved and will do well with new UEFI updates, so that's not something I deduct. That a product that is factual can be absolutely fantastic is just a bonus :)

I recommend buying! The processor can be difficult to get hold of, but the supply is gradually improving. Cannon!

The best CPU you get took a long time before mine came in stock but I'm incredibly happy!
