    Positively

Nice chassis, fast transfer, extra USB socket. Openable top, easy to remove the dishes. 2nd WD RED inside.

    negatively

During transfers it becomes very hot 50C +.

When the disk is inactive, it starts randomly searching the disks / moving the search arm for no reason. This creates a repetitive noise that is heard at 2 second intervals. The sound can last for several days, and then all of a sudden stop. Then be silent for a few minutes / hours / days and then it starts to sound again. The sound only occurs when the disk is not in use.
Turning on / off the sleep timer does not affect this.
Turning off the energy-saving feature in windows does not affect this either.
The problem seems to be the cabinet construction and software / hardware in it.

Have received new product in exchange of WD Support. They have also sent new power cables. No effect at all on the problem.

Recommend buying this product for 2pcs WD Red drives inside, for better price than buying them as "internal hard drive". For example, for a NAS or extra storage in desktop.

Seems to be a good disk.
It doesn't make much sense. The fan does not override the desktop computer, so it is good.
The disk included the WD Discovery program which seems to want to connect to the internet. I didn't install it.
In addition to that program, it included software for offline mode: WD Backup, WD Security and WD Drive Utilities.
The latter is used to configure the disk. You can run mirrored, striped and jbod.
I drive with mirrored disks, so the total space becomes 10 TB.
Has not investigated how to deal with disk errors or if the hardware in the USB device fails.
Nor can I comment on the speed, since my hedenhös computer only has usb2 socket ...
During the 25 years I have had a PC, I have had a number of different brands on the hard disks o so far I have not had a single WD disk that failed.
(Among the brands that have paved for me over the years are Seagate, Maxtor, Hitachi, IBM, Samsung, but no Western Digital ...)

    2019-05-14 - Update after just over a year's use:
The disk has been running 24/7.
Everything seems to work properly (Both SMART and Quick Drive Tests light green).
The only problem is that a disk can either be new or full, o after one year of use it is not new anymore.
The desire to buy one more, but the weak crown means that it has not fallen in price.

As mentioned before, contains 2 WD Red 10TB disks and still costs much less than buying these loosely without a box. What you get to sacrifice is the longer warranty you get if you buy them loose.

Easy to replace disks in the chassis but it only works with WD disks.
    Quiet, stylish and well-built
    Good performance

Contains 2 pcs of WD Red 10TB, cheaper than two loops and you get a USB disk on the purchase.

If you always use the disc tray in one and the same computer, I recommend setting it in JBOD mode and mirrors / strips in the operating system instead of using the built-in RAID. With built-in RAID, it spins one disk at a time after sleep, which takes twice as long as spinning both disks simultaneously, as does software RAID.

The system is quiet enough to use it on your desktop. The internal cooling fan also keeps the drives cool.
    Great Hard Disk.
