Fragile console. There are no flaws in the games, but the console is not at all the same quality as previous consoles like WII U, WII, 3DS etc. v. We have a Switch that "stopped charging", it turned out that a pin on the USB-C connector was curled. Apparently a common mistake, the docking station's design is substandard and will eventually destroy the port. The thing is that the son is now 11 years old and afraid of the stuff, there is not a scratch on the console. The switch is very little used and we have only used it in Nintendo docking station. But Nintendo, or rather the Swedish agent Bergsala, claims that it is a "handling error" and wants SEK 2500 for an exchange unit. The fault is easy to fix, there are loose charging contacts to buy, so we fix ourselves. You have been warned.

The best console ever. So simple and smooth. Works great on TV or just pick up and play anywhere. There are an incredible number of games now. Have owned it since the first day it was released when I pre-booked for six months before it came out. The kids love it too.

Have really liked my Switch during the months I owned it. I prefer to play on big TV as the picture feels much sharper. The funniest thing I've had on the console is handing out checks to friends and playing Mario Kart as well as spending far too many hours in Zelda BOTW.

Nintendo really knows how to make interesting and innovative consoles and games. Unfortunately, despite the huge third-party support from developers, I feel that it is primarily Nintendo's own games that really place on the platform.

    Buy Nintendo Switch if you:
    1. Do you like the idea of being able to bring full games on travel ect.
    2. Like indie games and RPGs as Switch has huge amounts of both.
    3. Want to play Nintendo titles (they're as good as you think if not better)

Do NOT buy Switch if you:
    1. Think graphics are important for a game to be good
    2. Want to play online (when Nintendo chose not to put energy on their own network like te.x Xbox Live to avoid troll's and people ruining others, they say.)
    3. Can't imagine spending 700 SEK on a Pro Controller as I think it is a must if you have to play longer moments (personally it is the best control I have kept and worth 700 SEK)

Overall a good console but is leaning towards selling mine and waiting for some kind of Switch Pro variant which is rumored to arrive late 2021.

I dropped 3000 SEK on a Switch, 720 SEK on a Pro Controller and 700 SEK on Mario Maker 2, and nothing ... NOTHING works properly.

I run the Switch in table top mode and the screen is under all criticism. It has decent motion blur between the frame, making it difficult to see enemies properly when running fast (which you need in MP). The screen is apparently more discreet the newer they are, as confirmed by online users, who compared the newest screens to those that came when the switch was released, and that is the difference. The "dry bones" enemy looks like a gray blob if you run fast, plus it is less "bright", ie. shines less because the screen is so cash.

The Pro Controller does not work as it should either, but even though I only have a few CENTIMETERS from the screen, I sometimes lose inputs. I made a recording of this where I pressed 2 times to the left, then 2 times to the right in a menu, and showed that it sometimes double-pressed and sometimes did not register 1-2 prints. It's inferior quality.

The game's multiplayer mode, which is the most fun WHEN IT WORKS, works incredibly poorly and, in my opinion, is reason to be able to return the game and get the money back. Most people are aware of it, but it fixes unbelievably, and often without Nintendo even acknowledging the problem or saying that they are fixing it. Fucking cash simply. And then they have MAGE to charge 100 SEK extra for the game because it now requires a subscription .......

Have had my Switch for two years now and am quite disappointed. Had Wii-U before and Switch is not a huge lift vs Wii U. The sad thing was that in the first few years, it was almost just releases on Wii U games, but from 2019 there came a rush with new unique Switch games so it was a boost . If you think it is important to be able to carry the Switch, it is a big plus.

    Positively
+ It is easier to carry with you, (but you still have to bring the doll if you want to play with someone else on TV)
    + Quiet
+ Good screen (although I would have liked a little bigger)
    + Can play in 1080p
    + Cartridge (better than DVDs)

    negatively
    - Not very good performance vs other consoles (not vs WiiU either)
    - Not portable so you can carry it in your pocket like a 3DS
    - Around 3.5 hours of battery life
    - Not much storage space
    - Joy-Cons is quite poor quality and not super-easy to remove
    - Expensive console and expensive games vs other platforms
    - Costs to play online! (which was free on all previous Nintendo consoles)
    - No Netflix (which I took for granted and was one of the reasons why I bought Switch)
    - Easy to scratch the screen in the doll (Has not happened to me but others)

    - Very expensive accessories, such as Joy-Cons or Pro control.

For me, Switch is like a "Wii-U Second Edition", no big difference between them except Switch is fully portable. Switch is too expensive in my opinion, it should be around max 2,500 SEK

    * Update 9 / 4-19 *

Had my Switch a little more than 2 years and was going to update a little.
The grade remains as I believe that Switch is a really fun and good gaming machine. I myself do not play so much nowadays but still have fun when I play.
However, my 4-year-old son plays all the more and he loves his Lego games I bought for him.
What I still think is bad is that a loose USB-C cord should be included in the package because I myself played mostly in portable mode. Problem number two that certainly many people experience is drifting on the controls (pro and joycons), this is something that should not happen 2017-2019.

The game range is really good but for every good game there is on the e-shop there are 5 junk games. That is, one should pay attention to what it is you should download.

    -------------------------------------------------- ----------

    * Initial grade which also lacks some abnormal reason *

Would have given 10/10 if it included a usb cord so you don't have to have it in the dock to charge.
Otherwise, I love my switch. Sick good bracket.
Certainly there are things I bother a little but nothing that pulls down the overall grade.
The battery could have left a little to be desired but still, being able to sit with Zelda for a little more than 3 hours in portable condition there is probably not much that strikes.
A given purchase, you have not bought yet so does it now ????????
  • Decent

The game console itself is fantastic and fun as a unit. But after a few months of use, it stopped receiving charge.
The unit was sent to Bergsala via CDON and I was then told that the charging port (USB-C) had bent / deformed pins.
We have always only loaded through the supplied doll so how this could have happened is beyond my knowledge.
The fullness of it all became a price tag for almost new prices.
2600: - costs the repair, so I do not know if it is the construction of the device I am dissatisfied with or if it is so-called the warranty via CDON.

    From a PC gamer's perspective:

I have always played computer games, but from time to time I have bought console but often sold it after I played through 1 specific game.

Often, I think consoles have had extremely poor "input mechanics" to play for example FPS games, where mice and keyboards are clearly superior.

What is the difference between Nintendo and other consoles? Quite entirely unreliable question when Nintendo created something completely unique with the Nintendo Switch.

Instead of competing with PC, XBOX and PS, Nintendo has focused on something else.

    Namely:
-iPad. Stop playing micro transaction games where everything is "free" but really is not "free". In addition, Switch has extremely much better input than touch screens. I'd rather pay $ 400 for a game than to download something "free" and buy in-game currency for several thousand.

-Steams-Indie game. Many of the popular indie games on computers are available at Switch E-shop.

    - Exclusive titles. Nintendo's own titles are locked to their own console and, as usual, Nintendo's games Zelda and Mario are extremely well-made and fun.

As a PC player, I didn't think I would use the Nintendo Switch as I do. I bought it with the reason to have something fun when you want to sit by the TV and play, but it has ended with I bought a case and charger and mostly play the time "on-the-go", in bed or toilet. Sure you can run on the TV in higher resolution, but the Nintendo Switch is really made to bring, everywhere. This has actually meant that I play more than expected, instead of having stood and dusted 6 out of 7 days in the living room.

    The battery time +
+ Extremely portable, but can also be docked to TV
+ Very good titles from developers, but above all Nintendo themselves
+ High product quality (Manufactured at the same factory as Apple's products, Foxconn)
+ Extremely good Ui and features, such as Sleepmode that works like an iPad
+ Available for an extra dock to connect to more TVs
+ The games are relatively cheap

+/- The screen could have been 1080, but the picture quality is extremely good for being 720p, and that the battery life is better due to lower resolution
+/- The original control is quite small, the buttons could have been bigger (if you have big hands)
+/- The accessories are quite expensive, but are of high quality
+/- 4K in all honor, but today's computers are hardly there yet if you are not running double RTX 2080Ti. Mario in 1080p looks amazing.

-No Ethernet socket (requires adapter for 400 SEK)
-40 SEK a month to be able to play Online. (Included a little else)
-No bluetooth (must use wired headphones)
    -No portable charger included
-Display could be brighter (needed in daylight, outdoors)
    - Pretty few other apps, in addition to games. You would have liked to have eg Discord and / or Skype
-The kickstand could have been more stable
-Location of charging socket is under the console, so it is not possible to run kickstand and load simultaneously, without a dock.

In addition to the negative sides that are quite small in relation to the positive aspects, it weighs positively on the negative in this case. The product is extremely good and worth a purchase for anyone who loves games, professionals like casuals.

Fantastic console. As a PC owner, I wanted something easy to play and have fun with the kids .. and that I always liked Nintendo's games and was curious about new Mario, Smash and Zelda (but the latest Nintendo console I owned was a NES). Played a lot of Mario Kart and Super Mario Party in Christmas with the family and I already feel that I got value for money. That it is portable makes it available to the children who grew up with the iPad. If you buy a console as an adult etc. to play exclusives or online etc. maybe this is not for you .. but do you want to have fun with the family .. yes then it is bang on target. Getting a small minus because I can think of the control scheme and how to keep the controls can be messy sometimes for 5-7 year olds. The console is anything but cheap, essentially the same hardware as a Shield. Lots of plus because Nintendo doesn't have any tiresome in app purchases and shit.

I just made this account to warn others how shitty of a company is.

First of all the online service they offer on the Switch is shit.
There is no easy way to find your friends and add them. You can find a friend code on your switch and send them to them on some other service.
There is no chat our voip. So you can't communicate with your friends or anyone else. There is also a universal party system or group system for friends.
So I can't add friends to a group on a map of Mario for example.

Nintendo prefers to release games from the world or you do not have to do anything.

Nintendo has a no refund policy. Even if the product doesn't work. I asked for a refund that was so laggy it was unplayable. While asking for the refund I complained that there is no review system on the nintendo switch shop. They told me they don't refund. Then they told me I should google the game.

The switch itself is fun. There are some great games, but most of them are indies or releases.

All in all the switch is a decent device if you don't mind paying full price for re releases and don't plan on having any issues with it so you can contact their support.

VAT Nintendo has been taken to court due to anti-consumer practices.

    Updated rating:
I think the switch is worth raising its rating from my old!
After spending a couple of 100 hours in games like Zelda: Mario Tennis, Mario Rabbids, Octopath and Hippo Warriors, I can say BUY BUY BUY.

Switch will probably be one of the biggest RPG consoles throughout the ages. A lot of Japan rpg is released via the shop. Big games like dark souls and skyrim adapts to switch.
Not only that but also the nintendo E-shop keeps prices down!
Two games I bought for this have both been cheaper than the cheapest page launched here at the price hunt.
The only negative is that you have to buy a micro SD for the switch.

The problem with small controls that are a bit crash and not feeling stable remains. but overall it's worth it!

    Old recession:

Nintendo Switch is innovative and affordable.
It is family-friendly in its way of playing on a laptop screen and not just on television. Works well for social relationships;) or in family relationships, as more people may want different things with the TV.

Overall, I like it and like nintendo, it's easy worth buying!

But there are some downside pages:
-Wiiu control will be a comparison here. The Wiiu control was both stable and more ergonomic to keep in mind than I understand thought. Nintendo Switch, on the other hand, it feels plastic. The screen is very thin. The point I try to make is that, as an adult, it feels too "fragile" to hold in. It feels bad. As if the smallest bump comes, the screen will crack.
The controls are also oergonomic. Tight buttons and you get into your fingers.
Bought a pro check day 2.
    Does not regret me.

The controls are made for children!

This makes it get "ok" in grades. Even getting games is launched at the start and few games are confirmed for the future.

Pumping nintendo out games can be a real hit!

Nintendo has made a sharp U-turn from the gloomy Wii U era to a very promising future with Switch. When I got my console at the premiere last year, it was mainly a Zelda machine, so there were around 10 games. In April, it began to announce more games and the library grew. Nintendo also puts a lot of focus on indie games and given its portable nature, I think Switch fits very well. Today there are over 500 games and more are released weekly. The device itself is very nice with the screen that shows very nice colors in 720p. It's amazing that you can actually play Zelda or Mario when you sit and skate, technology has gone a long way in ten years! :)

There is an extremely unique situation around Wii U ports in early 2018, when many failed to play Wii U, Hyrule Warriors, Donkey Kong and Captain Toad will be released during the year. In my opinion, it is understandable that they choose to take that path.

    weaknesses:
[-] No Virtual Console. They have so much potential with this, it's quite crazy what I hope for the opportunity to play GC games on Switch. It seems that VC is coming this fall built into their online service in some way, we'll see how it gets.

[-] Friends. One can ask what friends on the console are working. If today I add a friend I meet online there is no way to contact them, or universally invite them to more matches. It's sad that built-in social features taken for granted on other platforms are completely missing from Switch.

    strengths:
[+] Play. 2017 was the best year for a long time The quality of first-party games is very high. Breath of the Wild, ARMS, Splatoon 2, Odyssey only came first year. They seem to have learned their homework and are now focusing on releasing games at even intervals.

[+] Portable. The main reason that you can play wherever you want starts to speak their clear language. Every time I fly, commute or lie in bed I can play console games. It saves so much time, but above all it's comfortable. That the console follows your everyday life instead of the opposite means so much.

    Conclusion:
Over time, I think this will be a console with a warm place in the heart of many people. Can not help but recommend Switch to those who appreciate good fun!

Bought most to play with the family and children at 11, 9 and 9 respectively. 6 years instead of everyone sitting with theirs. So this will be the most how it works for them. Be the first to be on Xbox or PS4, but the game for lower ages is nonexistent there so it became.

Everything works really well, and Nintendo really feels that game fun is more important than a bit more beautiful shadows and textures. What they did not really tick, however, is that there is a lot of picking with controls to be picked up by the main unit and then together with an item for extra buttons, and it's going to be sluggish so it can not handle the smallest one. The games played most by the kids are Mario Cart, Just Dance and Rayman Legends.

I have played Mario Oddesey the most and is completely sold at Zelda. These are a bit too advanced motor for the kids so they get tired fast when they die all the time. Especially on Mario it was thought that there should be different modes of control and difficulty on the samples, where the smallest can get some help with advanced moves and more help what they should do. As they did in Mario Kart.

But, they could have learned that, but then we come to what I did not think of which is the big problem that they do not understand. Odessey, Zelda and many other games are very story-driven with long movie sequences, which is great fun if you understand. But everything is in English, and many difficult words. This simply makes them lose interest because they are not involved in the story. This is the biggest problem. A greater language support, even if it was on a straight google translate level, had increased interest and the target audience something incredible for eg. odessey, which still does not contain spoken dialogues. How difficult would it have been ...

That it's portable has not been used at all, and does not believe it will either.

So, better generic language support, reasonable pricing on accessories and if there were not so much picking up with parts it would have been a full pot. Now it's getting a seven and I think unfortunately the life expectancy will be quite short.

The Nintendo Switch has quickly sailed up to become the console I'm looking for, not because of. that it has the best or best game or best graphic but simply for the agility it offers.

Feels solid and well-built, good screen and looking good at my 65-inch home, agree that a few more A titles from non-Nintendo developers are needed (many are on input) but besides that, it's a great console.

Really lovely little thing, Nintendo managed to turn the flop with WiiU to the dunders success with the Switchen.

Nintendo has pumped out really good games already if I think both Zelda and Mario have gotten out of earnest grades (especially Mario).

The big potential of the switch lies in all indie games that are pumped out, old and new.
A whole new world was opened with the Switchen and what to play on the go.

Nintendo's own titles are awesome and most often indie games are easy-to-use things that are tough on the same graphics as on PC.

Despite the screen resolution of the 720P, everything looks amazing as it is high quality on the panel.

The only real negative I have to remark is the memory of 32gb only, but of course, it goes with memory cards.

Well, this was nothing for me. Battery life lowers the rating most. But even the boring screen and that it weighs so much, not so portable and nice to have on the bus, went back quickly to the mobile.

At home, fight it against a PS4 Pro and I'm a bit spoiled with 4K and HDR. After trying some games, I feel it was a bargain and the price picture is a little over the top with such poor performance, especially on software and accessories, so my rating is still generous. It could be easier to play and I wonder how people can give the highest score here, because it's not perfect. As someone said, it does not really feel premium in any way. Barely approved, on the verge of bad. Thought it would lie better in the hand than WiiU and not be as plastic.

I would have liked it like many others here, but feel a little cheated on the hype. Have already packed down to sell, the update does not hesitate to keep, mostly because I have an S8 + now that's much more fun to have on the bus and that the nostalgic dragon was not so strong when it came to the crunch. Had expected a lot more after all the hype.

Wow! What year for Nintendo and those who play their games. I'm sure Switch will go down in history as many favorite consoles ever!

The first party play is the premier one that attracts, portable and home consoles in one, the graphics and performance are surprisingly good considering that it's essentially a tablet they optimize for, very many indie releases and big publishers have really begun to fall for the recently Also so there are many bigger 3rd party games in the future!

I'm really looking forward to know more about 2018 releases! The only drawbacks that make the rating not perfect are related to how out of touch Nintendo is when it comes to online experiences. Friend codes? Why?! Playing socially online is almost non-existent at the moment, but I have sparse hopes for their upcoming online subscription service. Wish you could choose if you want all these security protection and so on if you are not a child or someone who wants to be private. Do not have to go anywhere else online to find some online friends to play with and then another program like discord to speak in voice chat. Sharpening on the part Nintendo: '(

Overall 9/10 though, love my switch and will never sell it! Just trust me that safety for children is forced on everyone instead of those who want to.
