Very good overall response across the low to high frequencies ie 20-20kHz, i would say would be the best mid level headphone before entering into the professional series $800+. Nice response around the low frequencies, but not an overkill which is a pleasure to enjoy (so many manufactures Bass it up too much). Really good Mid frequency response, all acoustics and vocals are crisp and and the separation sounds perfect. Overall design is aesthetically pleasing, and when on the feel comfortable. The Build quality is very good, feels sturdy, but you still want to take care with them (i.e. not just throw them in your bag and throw the bag around, or else they will most likely not end up in one piece), they are also not the most compact headset, but they are not the bulkiest either. I would say if your after decent music headphones for listening to everyday these will not let you down, treat them right and they will last you a life time. next Step from here would be the professional DJ type which your looking at close to $1000 for a decent set.

    A Hot Mess!
Bass is to boomy and treble is ear piercing. listening to music with these is not a good idea; and neither is monitoring / making music with them either. They're just too critical.
The cups hit the head band and make a clicking, sort of a crackling sound. The included cables are not great either, they went with quantity over quality. In other words, they are not so sturdy and the connector breaks easily. And the clamping force on these is way more than it needs to be.

For all those who want a quality product that deserves their hard-earned money, and for those who consult online reviews before deciding your purchase, do yourself a service and watch / read something more professional like Z Reviews, NOT MKBHD or or HardwareCanucks. Hopefully that will help you avoid such a disaster like the ATH-M50x.
PS. For much better sounding headphones, consider the Sennheiser HD 500 and 600 series, the original Philips SHP9500 too are great. Similar prices, but demolish the M50X in sound quality and comfort.
I recently tried the ATH-M40x and they stomp all over the M50x!

    Happy listening!

A pair of fantastic headphones. This is an absolute first choice in the price range.

I own both the predecessor ATH-M50 and the successor ATH-M50x. The difference, in terms of sound (after about 300 hours), between them is that the new ATH-M50x is slightly more basic and disc-rich than its predecessor.

If you use the ATH-M50x for mixing and mastering in your home studio (which I do), then I recommend you to supplement with, for example, Sonarworks Reference 4, for as unpainted sound as possible.

    Positively
    + Wonderful sound
    + Quality product
+ Good and comfortable fit, suitable for long sessions
    + Detachable and replaceable cable

    negatively
    - Possibly something plastic to the look (pure petitess)

Very good sound in these headphones. The downside is that they are far too big and it looks like you have a helmet on the hood! If you like big headphones, you can definitely buy these for the sake of sound.

A couple of really good headphones at a really good price. It summarizes my opinion of Audio Technica's M50x well. I use them at my desk at work and I always get as happy as I put them on. The sound is amazing. It's not a couple of real studio clocks, but close on. Unlike many other heavy-duty headphones, they give a natural and neutral sound, without being boring. They are easy to fold and become smaller than you think. However, I would not use them to and from work, because they are a little too big and unpleasant for it.

    Positively
+ Amazing sound (neutral without getting bored)
    + Good build quality
+ Comfortable to wear for a long time
    + Several different cables included
    + Convenient storage bag included
    + Interchangeable cable

    negatively
    - Something big (no worries indoors at a desk)
    - Some plastic look

Overall, I haven't regretted my purchase one second. If you are looking for a couple of very good headphones at a reasonable price, I strongly recommend these. If you are looking for a pair of headphones that you are going to use when traveling by bus, train or other traveling, I would probably recommend a couple that is slightly smaller, even if they can be folded together.

Keep in mind that they are wired. If you want wireless headphones, it is not just this model you should buy.

Have never owned any similar lurks when these were acquired in 2016, but have 2.5 years of experience with these now. The big minus is the comfort - it is simply not nice to wear these for a long time. Here are the reasons according to me:

    1. Despite the size, they press the upper part of the ear. After a couple of hours it feels like the ear is sitting in a vise.

    2. Similar tenderness occurs on the head since almost all pressure is concentrated to a small patch at the top of the cap. It hurts after a while. It should be possible to spread the pressure much better.

    3. The sleeves are fake clothes which only feels messy if you get the least warm.

    The positive:

+ Sustainable. They have so many bendable joints that they have never broken every time I lost them on the floor. I also managed to drop them in a bucket with dirty mop water and cleaning agents ... Not noticed any difference after having allowed them to dry.

+ The sound. I am not interested in comparing them with all the lurks that have ever been manufactured. All I need to know is that the sound is * good enough *, and that's it. I use them for consumption. Compared down a couple of game headphones from Steelseries and it was like day and night.

+ Interchangeable cord. I value a lot that the cheap part that is used first and which then makes the whole product unusable is actually interchangeable. I don't have to solder. I can buy an extra cable with microphone if I want. It is just fine.

+ Three cords included. Excellent according to me, otherwise the previous benefit will not be for most users.

    + Soundproofing part.

    Conclusion:
The thing about these cheats is that if I want to listen to eg. a podcast I would rather choose the bad Steelseries lurks instead of these, just because they do not have comfort problems no 1 and 3 mentioned above. So much I have come to appreciate kids who sit comfortably since I got these. Otherwise, quite ok for music and games.

The next couple of lurks will have these criteria: Non-sticky sweepstakes, should not press on the top of the ear, should even out the pressure on the head and replaceable cord.

Had a lot of headsets and my last was "Skullcandy Crusher Wireless" but this is my 1st meeting with Audio-Technica for my first headset of them and I do not regret 1second that their choice then recommended by my friend.

Is still a whole new world to listen to music with, brand new soundtrack and hears the details and clarity have not heard the make of earlier.

I am very different to music to taste and listen to very different music that these fit whatever genre has tried them on, everything from rock, metal, rap, bass music, etc.

Crisp and clear vocal with full bass but want to say that these straight out of the box sound a bit sharp in the tone but have Oneplus 6 that uses them and just adjusted a bit of sound tunes on my cellphone to my liking and the soundtrack was set with full bass.

Plus, there is no need for amplifiers for these headphones as they are so easy to drive.

Do not miss the bass either from my "Skullcandy Crusher Wireless".

These make the job completely and so comfortable to listen to in hours.

    Used for gaming as well.

Plus is that too with lots of accessories for these, as well as having them in and 3 different cables with as well.

Headset is itself is well built to withstand the use of comfortable properly digging cushions with proper adjustment to and 45mm drivers are even better, then used to smaller and can lock wires to headsets so can not accidentally snooze out the cord of headset is something All other headset brands should be thought of and nice solutions that can be fully assembled and stored in the bag provided.

The rotatable bells also so can adjust according to the fit.

Likes the design and look of them too, stand out, just to recommend :)

Only previous experience is in-ears. Bought these and became dissatisfied that you can not play higher volume on your mobile, maybe because they require more power than the phone can provide. On the computer you can play loudly but not very loudly.

Tests are said to be bastard, but dissatisfied even here. bass reproduction. Many cheaper cheats may have a greater bass focus than "high-end" cheats.

They get pretty hot to sit over the ears, but I can not compare with other over-ear naps.

I bought these for 990kr from Net on net and for the price I'm still satisfied, want more bass.

Cannon Sound. But after about 1.5 years the cables have begun to flip. Seems like there is a gap in the actual headphone input. It does not work with my mobile jack, but with the same mobile, my Sennheiser hd600 works. And then the fuselage on the pillows loosens quite a bit so it does not look so good looking anymore. There will be a lot of small crumbs that rubbish down. You really see it used.

I like the sound. But it's not sound that you get an orgasm off. (What some seem to like. It's only good, well-defined and seems to be good.
    Good greetings.

Minus that there is no type of Mic cord which would make them sick to a good headset.

    Comfort ++

Maybe I had too high expectations for all the great reviews but I did not get really impressed. Understand me right, that sounds good, but the difference between the 300 to 500 crowns, various computer headsets and included iPhone fools I've had around was not as big as I had hoped.

The base is a bit too round and bumling for my taste. The treble is quite sharp. The middle register sounds good on the other hand. I was primarily looking for a couple of neutral fools to the family digital piano and for this purpose, I still think it works perfectly ok but I lack a little life in the sound, very dry, hard to explain. Our digital piano is a pretty nice piece with recognized sound from the headphone output so it will be able to deliver quality sound. Spotify of the highest quality directly from the phone was also no sound sensation. That's how to hear the details of the sound that the cheaper headphones do not reproduce ... again.

Now I have just bought the napkins and just used them for an hour, maybe they need to be recorded to get it right (but there are divided sentences, how big a difference does it actually make). Or, I need a headphone amplifier to reach the next level by audio, I've never tried that.

In summary, that sounds good but the sound sensation was missing. A strong sex but I hope to have a reason to pick up the score in a few weeks.

Edit: Picks up the grade one star, either I have used to the sound or they have been recorded and sounds a bit better, a little more open and clear. :)

The kids have received a lot of praise, but I was a little disappointed.
I bought the kids to use in my home studio where I record music. I want to have a clean and genuine sound. It will be most pop, visor, song, acoustic. So far, however, I have tried to listen to Spotify on mobile and computer.

    Plus:
+ Pretty magical sound with distinct bass. Even the treble goes well.
+ Sitting well and nice at first
    + Creative Price

    Minus:
"The sound feels dull and extremely with a strong bass and quite out of treble. To some music, maybe a bit more at the techno-hold, etc., that might just be an advantage. But when I listen to some beautiful songs, as usual, many feelings start in me, for some reason they do not want to come true.
    - I listen to a pod, eg The summer rats, so the half-timed sound quality of the poodle will make it a distinctly noisy car sound in these naps. They seem to amplify attacks in high frequency ranges in a rather disturbing way that I do not experience when I test other fools I have at home.
"I can agree that the napkins are sitting pretty hard around their ears. At first it seems okay, but after a while it may feel a little awkward, even though I have a pretty little head.

Solklar's recommendation as a set-up, preferably with Focusrite Scarlett! Awesome combination for those who want hi-fi without being too busy with the wallet.

Have mixed with them for a year, and they provide clear and balanced sound throughout the registry, good comfort (even with glasses takes it a while before you get tired), good build quality and are stylish. They are also easy to drive, so they are good at the phone! Several cords and carrying bags are also included.

That said, sunny purchase. Do you also see them on sale, do not hesitate!

Have these for 2 years now. Really really good sound for money. Balanced base that does not take over but still not tight with bass. Really clear sound.

The only downside is the leather or the material on the earphone wears hard over the years, it is probably better to go with a black model.

Absolutely wonderful! The sound generally sounds amazing and you hear in principle all the details of the sound that had previously been hidden under the cheap napkins you've had before. In short, these provide a very clean and full sound. Also sits wonderfully on my ears (even for long periods of time) and most of the time sounds outside of the outside.

If you complain about a weak base you must be hugely picky. The one who is not so careful about sound balance and likes to do the most should not worry about the bass because it's enough, probably enough to feel a little bit over and over, but it's absolutely nothing I complain about .

Conclusion: Good, sounds great. You probably will not get a better pair of fools for this price. Can highly recommend to everyday listeners as well as the most engaged music lovers.

Personally feel that these are not good for much.

Bought these on 4Sound of about 1500

First and foremost, I think these are very unbalanced audio. Barely any base, weak midrange and treble strong. Tried to listen to many different genres, but did not think they fit well to something. EQA tried to sound firm realized quite quickly that it was hopeless.

The comfort was ok. They sat a little too tight and you can not with some extra ear pads in fabric (which is only a problem for those who do not like leather ear pads that myself).

Stylish design and feels sturdy. You also with a number of cables that are suitable for various headphone jack.

These are quite ok if you want to produce music as they reveal noise in the high frequencies. Though I think it is a bit too expensive with 1500kr for a pair of headphones that just works well for this.

Are other headphones in the same price range that has much better sound and comfort. But for you who are not audiophiles and not so picky when going to sound like strong treble, I can recommend these.

There, now was it spoiled by something good again. Can I ever go to other cheaper / inferior headphones? Yes, but it cuts inside. Recorded in a good many hours, it makes a difference.

The first time they were around my poor head, I had no idea how fantastic sound can be. Songs that I never listened to before, all of a sudden look into my lists only to the headphones' goes to the town "with them.

I am wearing those in town on the way to work or school. Certainly they are big but not so that I stand out in the crowd.

They've got me to start loving music and good music in a way I wish I had done before. Certainly there are better headphones, but as an entry model, to what I expect to be even worse stuff, so are those of the perfect.

Update: I have now played the headphones for at least 100 hours and it should be fairly recorded. Numbers are my Sony MDR-V55 on the shelf and I basically use only these kids when I'm home.

They are definitely better than MDR-V55 and even like the sound feels in my view, clearer than the Sennheiser HD 25, which is of course another type of handset, but still very popular. The resolution of the midrange-tweeter is higher and it is easy to distinguish most of the elements in a song about. The ear cups are on the level that you actually extracting more detail in listening to less compressed music.

I use headphones with Yamaha MX10U (blender + sound card) and thus has the 24 bit 192kHz maximum, the overall nice quality.

The pillows feel softer now than when they were brand new, but I stand by the headphones, press a little. I also have a tendency to get headaches during longer listening to them. I have not yet hyaluronate out of it depends on the sound or that they squeeze too hard.

Last but not least is the base as some would pretend not very flat, but on the contrary quite roars and uncontrolled. This particular aspect I am right disappointed. That said, it beats the Sony MDR-V55, but the difference is moving primarily in the higher frequencies. I think therefore that the reviews that spread, not least here, most of the time right ignorant - ordinary mortals, is a bit too glorifying and uncritical.

Which somehow makes them difficult to relate to, but to listen, to someone who listens very critical. They are definitely good, but I do not think they sound like something more than a pair of headphones for 1200 kr. Have used the Beyerdynamic DT 250 before the mixing of some film productions and would probably choose these over these, in hindsight. Even for all-round listening.

So, a bunch of +/- for those who can not be bothered harrowing through the above:

+ Midrange and disk adopt frequency sounds Finemang.
+ Nice with replaceable cord even if I use it murmured 99% of the time.
+ Goes to feed on them pretty hard, but they begin to distort.
+ "Everything" includes (cables and adapters for good and easy customization).

    - Hesitant ergonomics.
    - Something uncontrolled bass.
    - Quite plastiga.
    - Delicious pretty much sound.

Had the base been snärtigare and more distinct, and on ergonomics been as good as some write here - so I recommended these headphones in all situations. As it is now, they are absolutely fine - but nothing special, not even in relation to the price.

    Great sound.
I have a big head. From cartridge clip headphones too much on the head, but I read a tip that span them over a number of books. It worked for me. Big ears fit inside the headphones.
Three cables are supplied: I use the short to the phone, spiral when I play electric guitar and long when I see a movie on TV and do not want to interfere.

+ The sound is well balanced and good.
+ Good with three cable options.
+ Large protruding ears fit inside the headphones
    + Screwed phono plug included

    - Not the most comfortable for the big head, but it has worked for me. Do not look at me them so many hours without a break anyway. Stretches to them so they fit better.
    - Arch on the head could have been softer underneath, sometimes press too hard down.
    - The cables have their own special connector with locking function for headphones (not exchangeable for any cable other words)

The fit my big head pulls down my rating

Very clear, precise and detailed soundstage. Sometimes I think that the cymbals are a bit too sharp so got pull them down into the equalizer but it may just be that my ears are unaccustomed so clear sound.

    - Have read so many reviews that the base is strong and it is probably a matter of taste for unfortunately I can not agree with. The base is probably the only thing I was disappointed :(
Listening to very mixed genres and the base is definitely very good for most people, but if one becomes eager electronically with lots of bass, it becomes absolutely slaughter unfortunately.

Have also read that many think that they are bad but can not agree with there either, my head is excellent and they do not become sweaty.

Animals as Leaders new album was with these kids a great experience.

Having previously used the Urbanears Plattan and Supra Nitro so for me these lurking definitely impressive and a great buy! (As long as they are not intended mainly for electronic as I said, in that case stay away).
