Just looking to see what your guys advice would be around getting a better pair of headphones to beat my Hammerheads, theyve blown for the 4th time and im not bothering to get them again.

Im aiming to spend $100 max lower is preferred.

Want as much bass as possible.

Looking good is also pretty up there, will be wearing these in public (Dont wanna wear massive green Krakens).

If you guys could share your choices it would helpful because I buy my headphones literally by branding, not good at it.

Are you looking for in ear earphones or headphones? Xiaomi pistons are a good pair of in ears on the budget, will sound miles better than hammerheads. If you want a pair of over ear headphones (which are better) then go for the cliche tried and tested audio technica m50. Black Friday is coming up

I would actually prefer over ears, every single pair of iems ive had have broken.

Little off topic but is Amazon viable for NZ customers?

Most of those aren't even available in NZ. Yes, Amazon, or eBay, or Massdrop, or anywhere else with audio products. Anything under $100 locally is probably going to be trash. You can get the Samson SR950 for $70 here, no idea how they stack of to the 850s. Koss DroDJs are $100 here, but might be a tad cheaper on Amazon. The DJ200s are the same headphones, but with a detachable cable, inline volume control and case.

I also forgot to mention Jaycar Pro Monitors (rebrand of Yoga CD-880, also sold as Fischer FA003 and Brainwavz HM-5).

Do you want good headphones or cheap headphones?

I got my Sony MDR-7506 for around $130 shipped from Amazon (had to use YouShop), and they're amazing for the price. Great build quality, comfortable, good sound quality.

Logitech UE6000's for $57 between 5 and 9pm tomorrow at PBtech http://www.pbtech.co...p=HSTLOG2116925

I'm not saying they are great, but for that money they are great value.

After my experience with the durability of my IEMs, I think spending past that 100 mark only to have them break later on (Even though they wouldn't being over the ear) would break my heart.

I had an eye on the UE6000 before coming here... I might grab these then, great find

EDIT: PB Techs black friday ad says in store only?
Thanks to everybody who contributed, forums still at their good standard as usual
