Hey my old earbuds recently died and I was looking out for some new ones. Does anyone have any they particularly recommend in the $50-$100 range. I am willing to buy from overseas if I have to.

Thanks

Sennheiser CX-300 II's are pretty good, but the problem with earbuds is that no matter how much you spend, the cord will probably still break.

yeah the cord has broken about 5 times in a couple of years on my cheap ones, but hopefully expensive ones would last a little longer (probably cause i would actually be careful with them :))

VSonic make some amazing earphones and this is probably your best option for under $100.

The best sub-$100 models are VC02, GR06, R02 Silver, and the new VSD1.

You'll find them on Ebay and Lendmeurears.com for 45-60 USD depending on the model.

Probably slightly out of my price range

Prefer not to buy off Ebay. I do like the look of those earbuds though and lendmeurears only charges $5 shipping

Lendmeurears should be free shipping for VSonic products; try checking the shipping options again.

There is also a discount code for 7.5% off which may work for some of their products: LMUECUST.

I currently own Logitech UE MetroFi 220. I don't think these are available right now, I bought them when they were on sale for $40. Best $40 I've spent on earphones :D I'm assuming Logitech uses the same drivers in their UE range. So I recommend the UE 400: https://pricespy.co....ct.php?p=736502
My friend owns a pair and he's pretty happy with it, I had a listen too.

UE 400 sound good very balanced and clear also good sound stage. I saw it at JB for $36 normally its about $50 also comes with 2 year warranty. I would recommend it over the CX 300II because CX 300II seem to be very obnoxiously bass heavy so the base becomes muffled I personally believe they are not worth $80.

I'd like to try the UE400 then. I had some cheaper UE buds and they were really really good.

I had looked at the CX-300 II's but didn't like the asymmetrical cable they had. Quite like the UE 400s and they have pretty good reviews.

I bought UE400's today. I went into JB Hifi and told the clerk I'd seen them for 50 online, she called the manager and I got them for 50 down from 69 :D I'm quite pleased with them, the sound quality is very good, and so is the noise isolation. The only problem is that my S2 can't drive them that loudly, the noise isolation should make up for that though. I've only listened to Opeth so far but I'll try out some other genres and see how they go. It'll be interesting to see if they're louder running from my PC.

Just bought mine for $49 at harvey norman quite like them apart from the fact the volume controls don't work with my huawei ascend g600 :( everything else is really nice.

Yeah my phone only goes loud enough not enough to really damage my ears :D but my laptop kinda hurt my ears for a while

Damn the volume controls and mic are set up for Crapple and need a mod to work with android. Don't really want to lose my warranty just yet

That sucks. I was gonna buy the 400vi's but noticed it only listed support for Apple so I got the 400's.

Nah they don't have a volume control. Another argument for not buying them was that the volume control is just another thing that can break lol.

Oh then ill probably just keep these cause i can modify it to work if i want to later or just use the middle button that does work. The control is really handy for seeing which side is which :D

Klipsch S4's are a reasonable choice in that price range.

I ordered the Klipsch S4i's from amazon when they were $100 usd off and got then for a total of $50 nzd inc shipping. I'm really happy with them. The built in volume controls don't work with my gs3 though but oh well.

Just get the S4-II's for $29US. Reasonable price if you don't need the volume controls.

Are those the CX300ii Precision buds? I agree, they are phenomenal for the price!
