How would I go about transferring my contacts from my XT phone to my new Android phone? The SIM cards are not interchangeable and neither are the memory cards so I was wondering if there is a Windows app where I can manually add my contacts onto my computer and then put them onto the new phone.

Easiest way is probably to sync your old phone with Outlook - or whatever mail program you use - that should transfer all the contacts onto the pc. Then sync the new phone with Outlook.
I've done that with a few different phones now, Nokia/HTC/iphone, and has worked each time.

Your Android phone will be synced with your Google contacts, so if you add the contacts to the contacts in your Google account, and then set up that account to be synced on your Android phone they will show up.

This thread is nearly five years old, so I hardly think the OP is still interested...
