Simultaneous Charging and Display Output from single Type-C port?

I the USB Power Delivery specs say that a USB-C device can provide power to its USB-C host as well as the host powering the device, which would make that possible. And it does work with Alternate Modes. That leaves the main question as to how the dongle handles it. I just had a quick look at Ascent, and all the USB-C -> HDMI + USB-C dongles I saw supported charging / USB PD, and in fact at least one cannot use the second USB-C port for data.
