Hi,

I was wondering if anyone on this forum has purchased a phone from US Apple store? A relative is currently in Hawaii and I can get a Iphone 6S plus 64gb for $1300 NZD (No Iphone haters pls :P). My main concerns are whether it will work on NZ network (Vodafone, 4G). Would it be stable also(GSM bands being different)? There are some mixed answers from my google search and I haven't been able to find a definite answer. The relative says the store clerk stated its "unlocked" if that helps.

Thank you in Advance.

Going by http://www.gsmarena....s_plus-7243.php, it has two models. Both of them have the same 2G and 3G bands. Both also have LTE bands 3 and 28, which are the ones used by the NZ LTE networks. Therefore, seeing as it is unlocked, I don't think there should be a problem.

On paper it says it is compatible but I have read on some threads people are having constant connection drops, few features/apps not working. Was just trying to see if anyone on pricespy has personally experienced it. Saving $300 is a big difference in price hence Why I am considering buying it internationally.

Also has anyone dealt with Applecare warranty? Is it a strenuous process to make a claim?  as they are only charging extra $50, and I do understand I will have to buy the warranty since its global, just in case something goes wrong and I'll be covered from NZ.
