I am thinking about getting the Nikon d7000 just need to know if it is a good DSLR for action photography?? Thanks

Nikon is good. As long as it has the features you want it should be fine. Canon is also good, but from what I was told by a professional photographer is that the main difference is that Canon is better in low light than Nikon – and most likely that won't matter for you.
