I love robots. Just putting it out there, and also im part of a robotics club here in wellington! We are currently quite small in numbers but we have enough vex kits to get started on to go around! We currently are working with vex kits and making random robots with them (Checkout our blog below) but in the future we wish to design and make robots that DO THINGS! Help people out, deliver the mail, crush rubbish, take out the trash, whatever!
We are sponsored by the Faculty of engineering at Victoria Uni, Who donated the vex kits for us to play with and get started, we have loads of parts and all of us are really friendly, even if you have no experience with robotics at all (I have none before I started.) And ages 10+ please. There is a robotics program for younger kids at the makerspace, but I have no info on that sorry.
We want more people to join in on the fun! We have, I think, 2 more un opened vex kits for people to start on the fun of making robots, and it would be awesome to see some fellow Pricespyer's there! Just bring along some food for us if you can't make the $10 that it says on the page below, the money is mainly for getting more parts for us to play with, so its kinda good to get it.
Some links for people who want info:

Thanks guys, Hope to see some more people there next week monday! Also I'm showcasing a robot if my own, a mecanum wheeled robot named Odin, if you want to see him in action!

Woop woop!
When time is it usually? If I can make it after work and such, I might be able to bring some of my friends around, as they love the casual tinkering with electronics....
Next build (2016 maybe): awesome parts

I could only just make it there at 6.... As I finish work around 5:30 and get home around 5:40 - 6.... I might not be able to come next week, but the week after I could easily (I have an assignment due on tuesday)
All ok! Elf will be talking photos and videos i think on his phone to upload to the blog and so you will still be kept up to date with whats going on, hence is the reason for having a blog, anyone that misses a meeting can catch up on what happens.

Might try and come along then.Lol I go to it every Monday! Ryan tries to make it, but he still hasnt been able to make it to one yet. Last week though, we had like ~3 more members, and its getting pretty crowded now. Elf was kinda overwhelmed by the amount. So yes, it is still active if you wanna hang and learn!
