We should have a news section here... that would be very cool, as I'd love to discuss news with people here on the forum :)

I would also like that too! There should be some guidelines too as news discussion can cause controversy. Even though this forum has never had a y issue with that really from what I've seen.

The system OCN (and probably several others) use is great IMO, just having anyone post source to an article and quotes of the important parts, and whatever they have to say on it.

Yeah, might as well just do it in General Discussion or in the relevant section. I don't see a problem with it – just make sure it isn't quoting much, if any.

No, they aren't the same socket. Edit: silly reading comprehension fail. But for me, every one of the sockets listed is different to the others, so probably the only possibility is to categorise them – and that probably isn't worth it.

How so? Pretty sure it's just an alternate naming scheme. 1150 is H3, 1155 is H2, 2011 is R, etc.

Up the top-right, there is (at least in most places on the main site) a button labelled Feedback – use that for error reports.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but there should be a way to block a store and their prices from showing up. It should be a feature for people with a PriceSpy account. That way we can set it up to display the cheapest price only from stores we would actually buy from.
It would also eliminate this problem

On a similar note, it'd be great if the "in stock" filter could change the lowest price, to the lowest price in stock.

On a similar note having a feature of excluding certain results from appearing would be great, example would be blocking results for ATX cases when you only want m-atx.

Both of those are excellent ideas.

All ideas relating to blocking of results from stores or showing only certain stores have been declined in the past. Which is a pity, because when you select to filter by certain stores the only sensible way (at least to me) to sort by price is by the prices at those stores. So I don't have much hope for that. I'm pretty sure something substantially similar has been suggested before.

I asked for the third one in a slightly different way a while ago as part of a much more substantial set of changes to filters. It was basically regarded as a good idea, but nothing further happened.

On a similar note, it'd be great if the "in stock" filter could change the lowest price, to the lowest price in stock.

When you apply the "in stock" filter an additional column is added: Price in stock. You can then sort by that column instead of lowest price. You can also sort by stock status, in which case that column is also added, and all the in stock items are sorted by the lowest price in stock.

Hey guys,

I may have missed it, but if you wanted to help out by adding a photo of a product to its listing on Pricespy - how do you do this.

Take this motherboard for example:
https://pricespy.co....t.php?e=2651043
- There's only one picture, and its of the bottom of the motherboard (so pretty much just a black square). Not very good.
- There's heaps of really good pictures for this mobo, and i'd like to link them if possible.

If this function is not currently possible, could it be implemented at some point?
Thanks for your time :)

I don't think it is possible, but nor do I think it is the sort of thing that is really desirable.

Admin approval would be necessary to prevent posting irrelevant photos / pictures, but not what I'd consider the best way – they're probably better off just getting what photos are available on the product page and using them. And not only that, but they need to consider copyright: with user-contributed / suggested images that would be a big problem.

I think the best way is to just use the feedback button to notify them that the images are rather inadequate (which I have done for that one, by the way).

Searching for products while in the forum is finally working, however, not quite.

There are often "1.jQuery.undefined" or "572undefined" errors.

Hey :) Have you sent an error report on this? I have notified the devs, but they usually prefer error reports.
